"Hadley Raye Has Joined Your Party..."
Lacey has been waiting for Haddie's arrival for a couple of weeks now, first hoping for a date similar to Stella's (3 days early) and after a week went by she would have been happy to be on-time. As every pregnant woman around her delivered their baby early, or dilated before her she grew more and more frustrated. We speculated on why Haddie didn't want to see the world but our speculations brought us no closer to any kind of truth about what our daughter was up to.
On June 3rd, 2008 at 3 am Hadley Raye Prewitt was born and on her birthday we learned a few things about why she may have had misgivings about birth. For one we had been planning to name her Stevie, and maybe she didn't care for the blues, or the guitar, or Vaughn's face. We decided to change the name en route to the birth center. Labor intensified on the way as a now properly named child was determined to see the world. Another one of Haddie's misgivings about the world she was being born into was revealed later that day when Senator Obama defeated Billary Clinton, confirming my suspicion that the Senator from New York was scary enough to frighten unborn children.
Stella met Haddie yesterday morning and seemed happy to see her new sister. She's staying with Lacey's mom for the week to give us time to adjust to the new baby. Until next time...

Great job on the blog Drew! It is awesome and weird! We are enjoying having "De Tella" with us! Everyone says use should sleep when the toddler sleeps...so I have been trying to...nearly killed several people on the rode during our nap yesterday (as I was driving during nap time)...just kidding! Poppy and I will sleep after Stella is safely returned to your crew! Love to all...kiss Haddie R for us!
Wow Lace...two beautiful girls! Good Job!
